PUBLIC 4 HOUR TRADITIONAL
Join Chirpchasers for a Birdathon trip focused on Birding by Ear!
We will visit Belgatos Park with its diverse habitats, including oak woodlands and riparian areas, in proximity to the Santa Cruz mountains. We will primarily bird by ear and try to find some of the resident species like Spotted Towhees, Oak Titmice, and especially for California Thrashers and Wrentits. We will learn to tune our ears to hope and find wintering species like Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Hermit Thrush among others.
Optional: If folks are interested, we will go to a nearby coffee shop after the trip.
