Young Birders Club: Vasona Lake

Join the Young Birders Club on a morning walk at Vasona Lake County Park (Los Gatos) in March; keep an eye out for resident birds like Black Phoebes, Western Bluebirds, and Double-crested Cormorants. You might also spot migrating warblers like Yellow-rumped Warblers, Wilson's Warblers, and Orange-crowned Warblers flitting through the trees.

This trip is designed for young birders, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We welcome birders of all skill levels! Loaner binoculars are available for participants.

Trip Difficulty: 3 miles, paved trails, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade

Directions: From CA-85 in Los Gatos, exit Winchester Blvd. Continue south for about 1.5 miles (Winchester Blvd becomes North Santa Cruz Ave) then turn left onto Blossom Hill Rd. The park entrance will be on your left in less than 0.5 miles.
